Stopping to play

A haunting quote from my little girl who has a deep soul and a wide open heart . . . . from a couple of days ago . . .

"Mama, when you wouldn't play with me I felt like nothing." Wow. This was followed by lots of tears (both of us) and hugging. This one really woke me up. Sometimes it's okay to. just. stop. and. play. and let go. of the doing. (even if it is past bedtime).

My little girl is full of insight and forgiveness and she's teaching me so much about play and presence. Let's hope I can pay attention.
